Don't Let the Critics Get You Down

It's easy to get caught up in the negativity of criticism, especially when that criticism is coming from people who seem to have everything figured out. But it's important to remember what Zig Ziglar said “The only taste of success some people have is when they take a bite out of you”. Here are three reasons why you shouldn't let the critics get you down.

1. Criticism is usually based on envy.

2. Criticism is often written by people who don't have any skin in the game.

3. You can use criticism as motivation to prove the haters wrong, I Love shutting the haters up.

1. Criticism Is Usually Based on Envy

It's important to remember that most people who criticize you are doing so because they're jealous of your success. They see how hard you've worked to get where you are and they want a piece of what you have—but they're not willing to put in the same level of effort. So, instead, they try to tear you down in an attempt to make themselves feel better. Unfortunately, it rarely works out that way because envy is a very destructive emotion. If you allow yourself to be consumed by it, it will only lead to misery and self-doubt.

2. Criticism Is Often Written by People Who Don't Have Any Skin in the Game

Another reason why you shouldn't sweat the haters is because chances are good that they don't have any skin in the game. In other words, they're not taking any risks themselves, so it's easy for them to sit back and judge your every move. But if you're constantly living in fear of what other people will think, you'll never accomplish anything worthwhile. So, go ahead and take that risk—it's probably not nearly as big as you think it is—and see what happens. Chances are good that you'll end up surprising yourself (in a good way).

3 .You Can Use Criticism as Motivation to Prove the Haters Wrong

Finally, remember that you can use criticism as motivation to achieve even greater things. Every time someone tells you that you can't do something, use it as fuel to show them (and yourself) just how wrong they are. It might not be easy, but it's definitely worth it—because success tastes so much sweeter when you've had to fight for it.

The next time someone has said or written crap about you, just remember that criticism is usually based on envy, written by people who don't have any skin in the game, and can be used as motivation to prove the haters wrong.

So don't let the haters get you down—use their negativity as fuel to propel yourself even further towards your goals. After all, the only taste of success some people have is when they take a bite out of you—and that just means you’re mpdoing something right!
